I know its been awhile since our last blog post, but just wanted to say that we have been working on new concepts and ideas on how to make BogoMaps better. More to come……But for now we’d like to cover the new iPhone 3.0 update and how it could benefit websites like ours!

As some may know, we’d love to create an iPhone app! Imagine being able to search for deals, coupons and specials anywhere and anytime! Also, Facebook Connect just came out for the iPhone meaning that instead of creating a new login and password just for BogoMaps you could use your Facebook login. This is only one aspect. What Facebook Connect does is allows users to see their Facebook friends and interact with the Facebook network straight through third-party site like BogoMaps.com!

To get here we need to expand first. The iPhone App store is a national playing field where most users expect the applications to work anywhere in the US and sometimes the world! But we may be able to utilize this playing field and even allow local businesses to add/edit their own coupons though the app or online. This would change the way local businesses interacted with their customers and the way to advertise.

The cost to advertise for these local businesses would be minimal since we are looking at the value of scaling our service to millions instead of thousands.

After months and months of long nights and early mornings we have finally opened our doors! We never knew developing a website to map local discounts would be so time consuming, but we’re excited to finally open it to the public. We hope you like our site and please give us feedback since we are in BETA, and need you opinions and ideas to make it better. We will be constantly updated the site with new cities, features and deals.
